Or if you haven?t been a couch potato all day, you may be motivated to take a quick walk around the block so you can jot it down in your journal.
Celebrate each small goal.
Remember those small goals you planed out? Make sure you celebrate each goal you reach ? but not with food. Reward yourself with a new blouse, a manicure, or a good book. Pick something you truly enjoy. This will build some positive reinforcement that will keep you going until you reach the next goal.
Keep your ?Why? in mind. Don?t loose track of the big picture. Remind yourself daily of your big ?Why?, the reason why you want to lose weight. Keep the sheet of paper with your reason for losing weight close by and read it every morning or every evening. This is another big motivator to keep you going all year.
Losing weight can seem like a daunting task, especially if you have a fair amount to lose and you are just starting out. Don?t let it intimidate you though.

Can the Japanese outpace the World in the Race for Space? Some believe that they have good reason to, as they live on an island and need growing room (more space). We know that Japan is heavy into satellite technologies, space research and excel in high-tech gadgetry and robotics. Could Japan really be the main competition in the race for space?
In the last year they have landed on an asteroid, sent up several very high-powered state of the art satellites. They have universities with prototypes on the drawing boards ready to be built and they are pushing the future of space with the next up and coming generation. Will Japan continue to lead in the race for space, space research and robotics?
Yes, I would have agreed on the Robotic comment three weeks ago, but after the huge Tokyo Robotic Expo, now Sony has exited the robot market, is delaying Playstation III and downsizing departments.

Shoppers get a taste of GBK’s better burgers
0 Comments | Evening Standard; London (UK), Jul 16, 2010 | by Simon English
GOURMET Burger Kitchen reckons its patties are so good they’ll be snapped up by supermarket shoppers wanting to cook them at home.
The GBK Aberdeen Angus Pattie goes on sale this month in 60 Waitrose stores and at online supermarket Ocado.
Parent group Clapham House says that the move could help to boost profits and enable the GBK brand name to expand.
There are 50 GBK restaurants across the UK which are aimed at selling better burgers than those in the fast-food chains.
In the year to March, sales across the group, which also includes The Real Greek chain, rose by 4.2% to Pounds 44.5 million. Profit was up by Pounds 500,000 to Pounds 1.5 million.
The company is carrying debt of Pounds 10 million, down from Pounds 13 million. It sold the Tootsies chain was sold last year after it fell into administration.
If you are uncertain about whether or not something you are eating contains raw eggs, avoid it unless you can find out for certain whether or not it is harmful.
Unpasteurized soft cheeses ? some chesses that are imported also have the potential to carry life threatening Listeria if they are not pasteurized. The most common types of cheese that carry this risk include certain forms of Brie, Camembert, feta, Gorgonzola and Mexican cheeses like queso. If these cheeses are pasteurized however they should be safe to consume.
Unpasteurized milk or juices ? remember that any type of milk product or juice that has not been pasteurized has the potential to carry Listeria and other bacteria that may be harmful for you and your baby during pregnancy.
You should also avoid alcohol during your pregnancy. There is no known safe amount of alcohol that can be recommended during pregnancy. There are numerous fetal abnormalities and birth defects as well as developmental problems that have been associated with alcohol use during pregnancy.

Every content rich page on your site is potential entry point, and has the potential to be optimised for specific keywords. Further, conversion rates are likely to be higher if a visitor enters the site on a page that offers him the particular information he is looking for.
Navigation paths ? the idea that there is one unique route from home page to order page is a fallacy. The number of ways of getting from the entry page to the order page soon reaches infinity for any site with more than a very small number of pages. But you can look at how long it takes a customer to reach the order page and this is a very useful metric. The sooner the visitor places his order with the least number of clicks the better.
So how do we use all this information? There are two things it can do for you.
Firstly it will show you what is, and what is not, working before any changes are undertaken and this provides an invaluable starting point for the design team.

Then you can narrow it down to those who actually have a need for your services. Joining your local chamber of commerce can reap rewards and is generally fairly inexpensive. It will put you in contact with the business community and if attended regularly will ultimately make you a part of that community. Attend as many functions as possible. Talk to as many people as possible. Find out what they do, tell them what you do. Get their business cards and give them yours. You can also network at social events. Many people talk about their work when they go out. So can you.
Follow Up
One of the most important functions of sales is the follow up. Whether your initial contact came from a phone call, a cold call or a networking event your prospect has a 0% chance of becoming a client if you do not follow up. If you made a phone contact with someone who seemed interested but needed to discuss it with his partners, follow up within a week.

Step into an English classic

THEY say first impressions are important.
And seeing Overwater Hall Hotel, near Keswick, in Cumbria, set back off the road along a winding driveway, is like taking a step back in time.
Tucked away in the peaceful fells of the Northern Lake District, this Georgian mansion is a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the bright lights and touristry areas.
As we pulled up outside the pillared entrance, I wouldn’t have been surprised to see the Bennet family from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice pour out. Instead it was the owner, keeping a watchful eye out for new arrivals, who dashed out to pick up our bags and give us a warm welcome. Lying just two miles from Bassenthwaite Lake, the three-star hotel has all the elegance of a traditional country house combined with the comforts of modern living.
One of the first things that strikes you when you enter, is its homely feel. There is no reception desk. Instead visitors are invited to sign a book in the entrance lounge filled with plush sofas and a piano. In the comfortable drawing room you can sit in front of the log fire, play chess or Scrabble, have a pot of afternoon tea or wash away the stress of city life with a drink before dinner. Or you can peruse the menu over a drink in the cosy mahogany-panelled bar, which is open all day to residents. The hall dates back to the 1780s and was occupied by the Cumbrian family The Gillbanks as far back as 1814 – the year after Austen’s famous romantic novel was first published.
It was bought by the present owners in 1992 and they have lavished love and care on the Grade II-listed building, which is designated of architectural and historic interest.
Overwater has a good reputation for its food, which was a highlight of our stay. Our hosts, Stephen Bore, and Angela and Adrian Hyde, pride themselves on creating imaginative menus from as many locally sourced ingredients as possible, making the stylish restaurant popular with both visitors and locals. On our first night, a Sunday, there was standing room only.
Our four-course menu over the two days proved as varied as it was interesting. For starters there was roasted quail, terrine of pork, studded with black pudding and wrapped in Cumbrian air-dried ham, Scottish salmon, smoked with blue Stilton rarebit cured with malt whiskey.
For the less adventurous there was melon, or beetroot and horseradish soup. The following night we could choose from pan- fried king scallops, guinea fowl, Scottish salmon, fruit or sweet potato and rosemary soup.
Each night there was a small fish course to further whet the appetite before the main meal with choices including fillet of beef Wellington, leg of Cumbrian lamb, pork fillet, king scallops or a root vegetable rosti, Cumbrian beef, a trio of Cumbrian game – loin of venison, pigeon on a puree of cumin roasted squash and rabbit pie – fillet of halibut or sauted cous cous.
And to finish off there was a selection of cheeses from Cumberland and Westmorland or homemade desserts and, being a chochoholic, I can tell you the medley of chocolate puds was to die for.
The food is nouvelle cuisine style; small, light, delicate portions beautifully presented but nonetheless filling. Diners are asked to wear smart casual clothes but refrain from jeans and T- shirts, which isn’t unreasonable in such tasteful surroundings. Overwater has 11 bedrooms, all with baths and separate shower units, attractively furnished in keeping with the period of the house, offering traditional charm and contemporary facilities including TV and DVD.
A reasonably stocked library of books and DVDs can be found in the hallway.
There is no smoking in any of the rooms and to add to the peace and quiet, mobile phones don’t work … there’s no reception. And guess what? I didn’t miss mine for a second.
Children and dogs are welcome and with 18 acres of garden and nursery woodland to explore, there is plenty to do outdoors, wildlife-watching being one.
We didn’t see the resident deer but it was a treat to hear the many species of birds in full voice and to spot the fast- disappearing red squirrels. We saw our first when we looked out of our bedroom window soon after our arrival, and saw another as we were packing the car to leave.
We found a high standard of cleanliness throughout

While the contacts mentioned above are designed
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Uncategorized
While the contacts mentioned above are designed to give your eyes a different but realistic looking color, costume lenses can give you cat?s eyes or werewolf eyes, while complete whiteouts are perfect for the effect of blind eyes. And who said that you can only wear costume color contacts for a costume party? It can be a real fun to wear them when going to the club, or just at school or work with otherwise ordinary clothes. With a pair of cat?s eyes, you are guaranteed to be noticed.
Most costume contacts only cover the color area of your eye. However, there are also scleral color contacts that cover the visible portion of your eye. Scleral lenses can produce unbelievable effects. The most popular costume contacts are Crazy Lenses by Cooper Vision and Wild Eyes by Ciba Vision.
All brand-name color and costume contact lenses are available with corrective powers as well as in plano (no correction) This means that if your eyesight isn?t perfect and you wear corrective contact lenses anyway, you can get color lenses with corrective powers and kill two birds with one stone.
Color contact lenses wearing advice
You should follow the same rules as for regular contact lenses – wash your hands before putting color lenses in, clean the lenses each time you use them and store them in a contact lens case in a special solution.
Color lenses are like your tooth or hair brash, and should not be shared with other people
You should put your make-up on after the lenses are in.
